Hogy 5.5" 4.5 oz Sand Eel Jig with Teaser Assist Hook
Heavy-metal weight. Slender sand eel match. Built-in teaser attraction. When gamefish like Bluefin Tuna, Striped Bass, Cod, Haddock, and False Albacore are keying on sand eels in deep rips, strong currents, or deep water structure, getting your lure down fast while presenting a multi-bait target is the key to bent rods. The Hogy 5.5" 4.5 oz Sand Eel Jig delivers the ultimate deep-water sand eel presentation.
Featuring a high-density metal core encased in a high-definition holographic finish, this 4.5 oz jig sinks quickly into the strike zone while maintaining a slender profile. Rigged with a high-visibility Teaser Assist Hook at the nose, it mimics a predator chasing a small baitfish, triggering aggressive competition strikes from trophy predators.
Key Features
-
Anatomical Sand Eel Profile: Sleek, narrow 5-inch profile accurately replicates lancefish and sand eels, making it irresistible when gamefish refuse wider jigs.
-
Pre-Rigged Teaser Assist Hook: Features a durable, tied teaser assist hook mounted at the top split ring, adding irresistible flash, improving hookup ratios, and keeping fish pinned during hard fights.
-
Heavy-Metal 4.5 oz Core: Fast-sinking density allows anglers to hold vertical depth in heavy tidal rips, deep structure, and fast drifts.
-
Reflective HD Holographic Finish: Multi-layered scale pattern with realistic eyes emits maximum multi-directional flash in dark, deep, or stained water.
-
Flutter-Fall Jigging Action: Tapered body shape creates an erratic darting motion on the lift and a side-to-side flutter on the drop to trigger strikes on the pause.
-
Heavy-Duty Through-Wired Construction: Internal stainless steel wire frame and pro-grade hardware built to handle hard-fighting pelagics and bottom dwellers alike.

Pro Tip for Anglers
Drop the 4.5 oz Sand Eel Jig straight down through deep rips or school marks. Work the rod with brisk 2–3 foot sweeps followed by short pauses on a controlled slack line. Most strikes will occur on the drop as gamefish hit the trailing teaser assist hook!
