The Shimano Tyrnos 2-Speed Conventional Lever Drag Reel is a rugged, die-cast aluminum power-house engineered for serious offshore trolling, live-baiting, and deep-water bottom fishing. Equipped with Shimano’s push-button 2-Speed gearing system, this reel lets you switch instantly between a high-speed retrieval gear for rapid line pickup and a high-torque low gear for cranking power against stubborn tuna, shark, billfish, and grouper.
Built around a rigid die-cast aluminum frame with oversized A-RB (Anti-Rust Bearings), the Tyrnos delivers smooth, high-pressure line payout under heavy drag loads. Its ratcheting lever drag control allows for precise, repeatable drag adjustments from free-spool to strike and full drag, while the oversized power handle ensures maximum leverage when fighting pelagic giants.
