Hogy Lures 1.75oz (3") Squinnow Jig

Short Summary (Above the Fold)

Designed for ultimate bottom-dwelling presentations, the Hogy 1.75oz (3") Squinnow Jig bridges the gap between fast-sinking knife jigs and classic bottom rigs. Combining a compact squid-and-minnow profile with a unique dual-taper design, this 1.75oz lure produces an enticing, erratic flutter action on the drop. Ideal for targeting Black Sea Bass, Fluke (Summer Flounder), Porgy, Tautog, and Striped Bass in depths of 10 to 75 feet.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Unique Dual-Taper Design: Rounded belly and flat-top profile generate a highly attractive flutter and wobble motion that mimics fleeing crabs, shrimp, and juvenile squid.

  • Fast-Sinking Solid Core: Compact lead-alloy core gets your presentation down to the strike zone quickly, even in moderate currents.

  • Heavy-Duty Construction: Built with durable through-wire technology and premium stainless steel split rings to withstand aggressive strikes and harsh saltwater conditions.

  • Biki-Teaser Assist Hook: Outfitted with high-visibility teaser assist hooks that enhance visual appeal and ensure high hook-up ratios without snagging bottom structure.

  • No Bait Required: Highly effective fished clean straight out of the package, or easily tipped with squid or crab for added scent.

  • Sand Kick: Tap the jig against sandy or gravel bottoms to create small clouds of debris, imitating natural crustacean forage like calico crabs.
