Hogy Lures 5/8 oz (3") Epoxy Jig
The Ultimate Match-the-Bait Jig for Albies, Bonito, Striper, and Blues
When fish are keying in on small, translucent baitfish like peanut bunker, bay anchovies, or silversides, standard metal jigs just won't cut it. The Hogy Lures 5/8 oz (3") Epoxy Jig combines a heavy-duty lead core with a thick, durable epoxy shell to mimic the exact profile, refractions, and action of real forage.
Designed for long casting distance and maximum action, this lightweight yet compact lure stays right in the strike zone—making it a must-have in every saltwater angler’s tackle box.
Key Features & Benefits
-
Ultra-Realistic Refraction: The clear epoxy finish creates a natural 3D depth and metallic sheen that mirrors live baitfish in clear waters.
-
Compact, Castable Weight: Weighing 5/8 oz at a 3-inch length, it casts effortlessly into onshore winds while maintaining a perfect bite-sized profile.
-
Unbeatable Action: Designed to skip along the surface on a fast retrieve or flutter enticingly on the drop during a lift-and-fall technique.
-
Heavy-Duty Construction: Built with a continuous through-wire frame and equipped with corrosion-resistant VMC treble hooks to handle hard-hitting pelagics and aggressive strikers.
-
Versatile Targets: Irresistible to False Albacore, Atlantic Bonito, Striped Bass, Bluefish, Spanish Mackerel, and Sea Trout.

Pro Angler Tip from Canal Bait & Tackle
"When False Albacore or Bonito are popping on small bait, fish the 5/8 oz Epoxy Jig on a medium-fast retrieve with your rod tip up to create a skittering surface commotion. If they refuse a fast retrieve, pause for a second to let the lure flutter on the drop—the epoxy shell gives it a natural slow-sink action that triggers reaction strikes every time."
