The Daiwa Saltist High Speed is a one of a kind reel from Daiwa. This Daiwa Saltist reel is so special because it is the only high line capacity reel that provides a level wind to its specifications. The term Ultra High Speed in the name is no joke; this Saltist can retrieve any lure 48 inches per handle turn. The Saltist has plenty of cranking power, a super-smooth multi-disc drag, 4 corrosion resistant bearings and choice of standard or high speed gear ratios. Those components make this reel ideal for a wide variety of freshwater and saltwater applications. My conventional reel for the Cape Cod Canal is a Daiwa Saltist 50 and I have never had a problem with it. Everyone knows I beat the life out of my reels, so it is proven to be a workhorse!
